Salamander WHR29 $35
Each print measures approximately 3
3/4
inches by 6 1/2 inches.
We are currently offering a selection of
prints from the Wilhelm’s Natural History, published in
Ausberg, Germany in 1810-1821. This extensive work
contains accounts of exotic plants, fruits, vegetables,
spices and flowers. The prints are original hand colored
copper engravings in a very vivid, strong style.
The condition of these prints is generally excellent
good. Each print is small, measuring approximately 3 3/4
by 6 1/2 inches, and the colors are very intense. There
is little or no foxing, on beautiful strong chain lined
water marked paper that varies from creamy to soft
white. The margins are very small due to the way the
prints were once tipped into the work.
