We are offering a selection of prints from the very rare de Plante in hare Ornatmentale Behandeling by Th. M. M. Van Grieken, published in 1888. Expressing the botanical form in an ornamental style, this work was originally used as a guide by Art Nouveau architects, and serves as an inspiration for artists & designers to this day.  Van Grieken is considered by some to be the Dutch Owen Jones.   Each chromolithographed print measures approximately 11 by 15 3/4 inches on high quality paper with some foxing and speckling on the margins. The prints are very decorative, with genuine gilt illumination on many.
