Each print measure approximately 9 1/2 by 11 3/4 inches.

On a recent trip to Japan, we were very fortunate to come across these stunning woodblock prints by Katei Taki. Taki (1830-1901) painted birds and flowers (kacho-ga) in the traditional Japanese style. A student of Araki Kankai, Taki was a member of the Art Committee of the Imperial Household, a high honor for an artist. The Vienna World Exposition of 1873 displayed his works.

Each print measures approximately 11 3/4 by 9 1/2 inches and is on softly aged rice paper.
