Vases from the Collection of Sir Henry Englefield was published in London in 1820. These beautiful prints of ancient Etruscan vases were drawn & engraved by Henry Moses. Sir Henry Charles Englefield, a prominent writer and collector of antiquities, was an active member of the Society of Antiquaries & the Dilettanti Society.
Each original engraving measures approximately 6 3/4 by 10 1/2 inches on a fine white paper with strong plate marks. They are the epitome of beauty and grace, with a sheen to the vases that is almost magical. There is some light marginal damp staining on a few that will frame out, and some staining on a few of the prints as shown.
A copy of the title page is included with each print and there is no descriptive text. The photos are very accurate, so please review carefully. All our prints are authentic antique prints and guaranteed to be from the date stated and these prints are over 185 years old.
