We are pleased to offer a selection from this extremely rare work Knight’s Heraldic Illustrations, Designed for the use of Herald Painters and Engravers, published in 1855.   Many different creatures, both real and mythological are illustrated, such as mermaid, griffon, angel, elephant, lion, eagle, swan, and many more, along with decorative borders. These wonderful illustrations were a guide to the heraldic artists of the time.

Each print measures approximately 9 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 inches on a heavy white paper with strong plate marks, with some prints bearing watermarks of 1828. The prints are superbly hand colored by our English specialist in heraldic coloring on white paper. Please review the photos carefully as they are very accurate.
