Each region of France has its own architectural splendours, with the Loire Valley popularized by the Kings of France & full of resplendent castles, to the earlier architecture of Normandy, including the spectacular Mont St Michel. The hand engraving in these plates is exquisite, rich in chiaroscuro & painstaking detail, capturing the magnificence of the arches & pillars & monuments of a bygone era.

Each single print measures approximately 13 1/2 inches by 19 1/2 inches, and the doubles measure approximately 19 1/2 inches 25 1/2 inches. The strong creamy white wove paper is without blemishes. Each print has been recently hand colored by one of the last remaining professional colorists in England. A copy of the original title page accompanies each print.  The photos are very accurate, so please review carefully.
