splendours, with the Loire Valley popularized by the
Kings of France & full of resplendent castles, to the
earlier architecture of Normandy, including the
spectacular Mont St Michel.
The hand engraving in these plates is exquisite, rich in
chiaroscuro & painstaking detail, capturing the
magnificence of the arches & pillars & monuments of a
bygone era.
Each single print measures approximately 13 1/2 inches by 19
1/2 inches, and the doubles measure approximately 19 1/2
inches 25 1/2 inches. The strong creamy white wove paper
is without
blemishes. Each print has been recently hand colored by
one of the last remaining professional colorists in
England. A copy of the original title page accompanies
each print. The photos are very accurate, so please
review carefully. All our prints are authentic antique
prints and guaranteed to be from the date stated. These
prints are about 175 years old.
