Coignet & Hubert Forest Trees & Landscapes 1828

While our images are electronically watermarked, the antique prints themselves are not.

Weeping Willow (Thenot) (measures 12 1/4 by 17 1/2) CGE10 $275
Each print measures approximately 14 3/4 inches wide by 19 1/2 inches long.

This selection of hand colored tree and landscape lithographs came from a collection of prints by Jules Coignet, Hubert and Thenot, entitled Études de Paysages or Studies of Landscapes.  Jules Coignet (1798-1860) was the student of Jean Victor Bertin (1767-1842), and regularly exhibited his oil studies at the Paris Salon.  He also produced many pencil drawings of topographical views and landscape details such as trees, shrubbery, and rocks.

Each print measures approximately 14 3/4 inches wide by 19 1/2 inches long.  Most of these lithographs are on a heavy wove paper that is quite white, while others are duotones with darker backgrounds, as shown.  Each print is in excellent condition and has been beautifully hand colored by one of the few remaining hand colorists whose specialty is landscape.  The photos are very accurate, so please review carefully. All of our prints are authentic antique prints and guaranteed to be from the date stated.  These prints are over 175 years old!
