Jemima Blackburn Bird Prints 1862

We are pleased to offer a selection of prints from the 1st edition of “Birds Drawn from Nature” by Jemima Blackburn, published in Edinburgh in 1862 and hand-colored. These rare lithographs depict many different species of birds along with their nests & eggs, and are among some of the most endearing nest & bird illustrations of the period.

Each print is beautifully and recently hand-colored by professional colorist in the United Kingdom on thick, high quality paper. These prints are quite rare, as a very limited number of the 1st edition folio prints were published & this work is most often seen in late editions. Each print measures approximately 10 1/2 inches by 14 1/2 inches. There is no descriptive text, but a copy of the title page will be included. The photos are very accurate, so please review carefully.  All our prints are authentic antique prints and guaranteed to be from the date stated. These prints are about 150 years old.
