Hiroto Norikane, born in 1949 in Hiroshima, creates etchings of contryside motifs, such as villages and landscapes. Norikane graduated from the Sokei Academy of Fine Arts, studying under Yoshida Hodaka and Kato Kiyomi. Since 1971 he has been a member of the Japan Print Association and has exhibited worldwide. His prints are exhibited in the Portland Museum of Art, The White House, the Los Angeles County Museum and The San Francisco Museum of Fine Art.
