Parrotfish JF15 $35
Each print measures approximately 7 inches by 10 inches.

David Starr Jordan is considered one of the most important and influential of all American ichthyologists. His scientific collaborations with Spencer Baird, the U.S. Fish Commission and the Smithsonian were seminal in the field, and set the course for all modern fish studies.

We are proud to present a selection of prints from Fishes by David Starr Jordan, 1925. Published late in Starr’s life it serves as a compendium of his work, ranging from North American fresh water trout to exotic tropical Pacific Isle species. The prints are vibrant, colorful and detailed chromolithographs by A. Hoen & Co. of Baltimore. The trout prints were painted by Charles B. Hudson. The paper is wonderful light creamy color with occasional edge staining.  Each print measures approximately 7” by 10”.
